Practical Information
If your child has just finished secondary school (or if they obtained their diploma a few years ago without having enrolled in a university or college since), their registration can be done online > here
If you wish to enroll your child in ongoing studies:
- In the 1st cycle (Bachelor's) after having been previously enrolled in another university or college
- In the 2nd cycle (Master's or specialized Master's)
- In the 3rd cycle (Doctorate)
Depending on their situation, your child will need specific documents for registration.
Courses are held at 2 locations:
- In the city center (Rue Louvrex and Complexe Opéra - 3 or 4 days a week)
- On the Sart Tilman campus (1 or 2 days a week)
There are no transfers between locations on the same day.
Access to Rue Louvrex
Located in the city center, HEC Liège is well served by public transport. We encourage you to use these services to reach us, especially since the school's parking is not accessible to students.
Liège Carré and Liège Guillemins train stations are respectively 7 and 17 minutes' walk from the school. Several bus lines also stop nearby.
Coming by bike?
Secure bicycle parking and showers are available to students.
Getting to Complexe Opéra
The Complexe Opéra is located in downtown Liège: Place République Française, 41 - 4000 Liège
Access to the classrooms is via :
- place de la République Française, between the entrance to the "IBIS" hotel (no. 41) and the "PRINCES EVEQUES" brasserie (no. 43)
- galerie Opéra, second floor
Access to the Sart Tilman site (B31 - B7a - B7b)
Line 48 was considered by many to be THE line to link the city and the Sart Tilman. This will no longer be the case. In addition to a change of numbering, the capacity of line 48 will be split between lines 2 and 3.
Depending on your point of departure, line 2, line 3 or the combination of the Tram line and line 8 will be more comfortable and faster for your journey between the city and Sart Tilman.

A student's day at HEC Liège is quite varied and is generally organized between 8 AM and 6 PM (though this can fluctuate depending on the time of year).
The days include theoretical classes, practical exercises, and catch-up sessions. Depending on the number of classes scheduled for the day, students may start later or finish earlier. There may also be several hours between two classes. During these gaps, students, often referred to as "forked" (en fourche), can use computer labs, study rooms, or the cafeteria to work or relax.
From the beginning of the year, students receive their schedule, allowing them to organize their time as efficiently as possible.
Finding student accommodation close to your children's course locations is very easy. Since the courses are offered at two sites (in the center of Liège and at Sart Tilman), there are numerous housing opportunities.
The University of Liège has university residences on its Sart Tilman campus. Rooms are primarily available to students enrolling for the first time at ULiège in the first year of a bachelor's program. The rent for this type of accommodation varies depending on the parents' income (approximately from 210 to 315 euros). Applications for this type of rental must be submitted via an application form due by June 20th preceding the September intake.
In addition to these residence accommodations, about 7,000 student accommodations are available across various neighborhoods of the city and around the Sart Tilman campus (rooms, studios, apartments, houses). There are many options, and the average prices are affordable compared to other major university cities.
