Student support is a constant concern at HEC Liège. We want it to be personalized and adapted to the needs of each individual.

With this in mind, we have created a "Success Factory", a series of supported measures to help your children make the most of their chances of success.

Before your studies

In August and September, we offer welcome and refresher sessions. These preparatory courses cover mathematics, languages, and sciences for those choosing the Business Engineering program, as well as preparation for higher education and study methods to approach courses effectively (note-taking, etc.).

During your studies

Student support is provided in several practical ways:

  • Exercises integrated into courses, allowing for the practical application of theoretical knowledge covered in class.
  • Personalized meetings with qualified assistants to discuss study difficulties and solutions: these are the "mise à disposition" sessions.
  • Remedial sessions.
  • A Study Corner, organized by the Assoc' and supervised by students ;
  • A mentoring system: each first-year student has a "mentor" (a more experienced and advanced student) who can offer advice and help.
  • Bi-monthly evaluations organized on various predefined subjects to identify potential dropouts and address them early.
  • Exam debriefing sessions to learn from mistakes.
  • A virtual campus dedicated to learning, which includes all the educational resources your child needs throughout their academic journey.

Moreover, within the University of Liège, the Guidance-Etudes Service allows young people to seek advice on managing their courses and their new university life.

At HEC, your child is not just a number; it is a human-sized school where each student's personal academic progress is, as far as possible, taken into account. The dialogue between professors and students, assistants and students, is a key to progression and resolving potential learning issues.

After your studies

HEC Liège is the first school in French-speaking Belgium to offer its students a CAREER CENTER platform.

This interactive platform allows students and companies to connect over job and internship offers.

Each student has a personal space they configure according to their interests to access events, internship offers, and job offers that match their criteria (contract type, sector, availability dates, etc.). They have access to company profiles, hundreds of job videos or career advice from recruiters, events organized by the school or companies, and can post their CV. They also receive a weekly newsletter tailored specifically to their configured expectations. Students can also access the Career Center through a mobile app.
